Revolutionary War hats.  Hats of the period of the American War for Independence included cocked hats, round hats, fantail hats, cut down hats, ranger style hats and also Light Infantry hats.  We offer hats for soldiers, sailors and civilians.  Hand sewn hats are available in wool felt and fur felt and include hand sewn adjustable linen liners.  A handful of original Revolutionary War military hats have survived and are all in museums plus several private collections.  Books by George Neumann, Philip Katcher, Don Troiani/James Kochan, Marko Zlatich/Peter Copeland are among the premier sources for research and artwork on hats during the American Revolutionary War.  Additionally, the Military Uniforms in America (MUIA) plates by The Company of Military Historians are another exceptional resource.

We also offer machine sewn Revolutionary War hats.  Our machine sewn styles are an economical alternative for entry-level reenactors, color guards, theater companies and others who do not require a hand sewn level of authenticity.
